Build the services that keep insurance work moving reliably behind the scenes. You will develop APIs, document-processing services, workflow state, and integrations that support Acord AI’s products.
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain APIs for requests, documents, workflow status, and review outcomes.
- Build asynchronous processing with queues, retries, idempotency, and clear failure handling.
- Develop data models and validation rules that preserve relationships between source information and prepared outputs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, tenant boundaries, and appropriate activity records.
- Integrate approved email, document, and business-system connections with reliable error recovery.
- Improve service performance, observability, test coverage, and deployment reliability.
What you’ll bring
- Experience developing backend applications in Python, Node.js, or another relevant server-side language.
- Strong understanding of API contracts, relational databases, transactions, and data validation.
- Experience with background jobs, webhooks, concurrency, and failure recovery.
- Ability to implement and test access controls and secure handling of application secrets.
- Comfort with Git, automated tests, logs, debugging, and collaboration across product teams.
Helpful experience
- Experience with cloud services, containers, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with document storage, search, and high-volume processing.
- Experience supporting enterprise integrations or multi-tenant SaaS applications.
